My Favourite Brunch Meal

I think that brunch is THE perfect mealtime, like I really really love brunch; everything from the fancy restaurant brunch, to the pub-style brunch, to the classic homemade brunch. I could be at home, the office or out with friends, and brunch is always a fan favourite for everyone. So last Sunday when I woke up before everyone else in my house I decided to treat us to a delicious morning spread including my mom’s french toast recipe, some locally raised bacon, organic yogurt with granola and an incredible cup of coffee

What you'll need:

3 large eggs

1 ½ cups of milk

Pinch of cinnamon

½ tsp vanilla extract

8 slices of bread (if you’re feeling adventurous you could try and make your own with our Stone Milled Whole Wheat Flour)

& of course a side of Bacon or some organic Strawberry Yogurt

Directions:

Combine and whisk 3 eggs with a pinch of cinn and a 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.

Add milk to egg mixture and pour into a shallow dish for coating the bread slices.

Dip bread slices in egg mixture, making sure to turn in order to coat both sides evenly.

Cook the bread slices on lightly greased nonstick griddle or skillet on medium heat until browned on both sides.

Serve with haskap berries & Quebec maple syrup.

This recipe pairs perfectly with some slices of locally raised bacon from McPherson Farms or their beef breakfast sausages. If that's not your style, we also recommend some organic strawberry yogurt topped with your favourite granola! Brunch wouldn't be complete without your fav beverage, some days that might be mimosas but we usually go for a deliciously brewed cup of coffee. For this recipe I recommend Transcend Roasters . . . that has notes of . . . which is perfect for this brunch feast!
